- Abstract
- This analysis is interested in answering the question “what is the causal effect of the introduction of the Great Green Wall on women empowerment and children's school attendance in Senegal between 2005 and 2019”. For this purpose, after presenting the project, the Senegalese demography, the social, economic, and political context, an empirical study was conducted following a multiple hypothesis testing analysis. It aims at (1) suggesting interesting variables reviewed from DHS-surveys, (2) measuring those potential effects by proposing a modus operandi that takes into account several issues encountered in a causality study; (3) displaying robust results including demographic and social considerations.
