Abstract
The purpose of this work is to attempt to answer an ancestral question : are truth and fiction opposed, or are they articulated ? To answer that question, we analyze various cases from both cinema and literature. Our corpus is diverse. It aims to present a global perspective which includes various domains. We study the numerous critical currents which address this issue in a order to construct a model on fiction indicators in cinema. Through our model, we perceive the means that permit fiction can generate such a sense of reality that the audience regularly can’t establish if the movie it watches is a mystification or if it’s genuine. We also analyze the use of real events through movies, notably through biopics.
