- Abstract
- The energy transition, one of the greatest challenges of this century, led to the development of new energy sources. One of the most used is the photovoltaic energy. The principle is the conversion of the energy contained in the illumination from the sun into electrical energy in the form of direct current. This energy can then be stored in batteries or converted by AC inverters to be injected into the electrical grid. In the last few years, the number of micro-inverters available on the market has considerably increased. That is why Laborelec - Engie-Lab has developed a testing bench as well as unique tests for micro-inverters for real conditions, in which the AC voltage contains harmonics, voltage dips, frequency variations and so on. The main objectives of these tests for Laborelec - Engie-Lab are : - To improve their knowledge of the product “micro-inverter” to answer the questions of other group entities. - To give accurate recommendations on the capacity of the different available micro-inverters. The aim of this master thesis is to realise the testing bench as well as its automation. In this document, we will see the advantages and the disadvantages of the different families of solar inverters. Next, we will present some tests in order to observe and to have a deeper understanding of the inverter's behaviour on the grid. These tests will be accompanied by examples of results and their analyses. The second part will be devoted to the design of a testing bench to allow the automation of the aforementioned tests. In this part, I will present the various elements that I used to develop the installation and the utility that I have given them. Then, we will talk about the automation of the installation to finish by its validation. I will conclude this report with a series of perspectives that I think are interesting to improve the testing bench and the algorithms developed for automation
