- Abstract
- Analyzing the experiences of women’s participation in peacekeeping operations, particularly within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), provides an interesting area of research which contributes to the existing literature on women’s active involvement in international security. Drawing from Feminist Standpoint Theory, this research focuses on the military section of UNIFIL, a predominantly male-dominated structure, to unravel the specific challenges and barriers women face. This analysis aims to further contribute to what feminists in international relations have long advocated for: gender equality.
