- Abstract
- While on one hand relief operations move away from the traditional emergency response activities to focus more on preparedness activities, on the other hand partnerships with the private sector currently tend to take new forms, moving away from only philanthropic contributions, becoming more strategic and long-term. This thesis will study private-humanitarian partnerships in disaster preparedness based on knowledge transfers, to better understand how to successfully implement cross sectorial learning – in this case, in the field of logistics.
