Abstract
First of all, veganism is a popular phenomenon, but it is much more than a mere trend, it is a way of life, with many ethical, ecological and health benefits, but unfortunately also risks of important deficiencies. In fact, good nutrition has significant health benefits and can even prevent many diseases. If everyone practiced a sport, ate properly and paid attention to macronutrient and micronutrient intakes, longevity would constantly increase over the years. It's a partial and commented translation of two articles about vegan diets for athletes and statistics of dietary intakes of high protein food in the UK. The introduction is about familiarizing the reader with a subject that was perhaps poorly known or too little mastered. I took the opportunity to explain some key and basic concepts of nutrition and enlighten some notions for a better understanding of the translations. The question that remains is : "Are veganism and sports' nutrition compatible ?"
