Abstract
enThis thesis consists of the translation and the subtitling of the UNLADYLIKE2020 project. This project was created by Charlotte Mangin in order to celebrate the Centennial of Women’s Suffrage in the United States. The five films subtitled for this thesis are about five women of the Progressive Era: Bessie Coleman, Grace Abbott, Maggie Lena Walker, Lillian Gilbreth and Ynés Mexía. The purpose of the films is to show the impact that little-known women have had in different fields, to encourage young women to follow their path, and to teach people about the status of women and people of color.
