- Abstract
- This study investigates how French learners of Dutch use the Dutch posture verbs. The main goal was to compare pupils in CLIL and in non-CLIL. In order to do so, participants were asked to describe 5 pictures during an Oral Picture Description Task. On one hand, the results have shown that both the CLIL and the non-CLIL pupils use approximately the same amount of posture verbs. On the other hand, the CLIL pupils seem to grasp the important role of the Dutch posture verbs better than the other participants. They indeed use more posture verbs to locate non-living entities during their Oral Picture Description Task. This study has thus shown that the CLIL pupils and the non-CLIL pupils use the Dutch posture verbs in different ways.
