- Abstract
- For a few years, the interest of the aeronautical sector for composite materials is real in order to reduce both the weight and the cost of aircrafts and to meet the sector requirements. These materials form an asset thanks to their remarkable mechanical properties. For this reason, the shear and slip identification of the prepreg HexPly M21 has a significant interest in order to carry out concretely the forming step. We will see throughout this work that, despite the fact that the characterisation allows us to better understand the behaviour of the material, the forming modelling thanks to a finite element method showcases the difficulty to study such materials. The comparison with an experimental forming will abound in this sense. Therefore, we will talk about challenges addressing in order to reach this goal.
