Abstract
The man does not only communicate by listening to spoken words (verbal) but also by listening to the tone of voice (paraverbal) and to gestures (non verbal). There are many books teaching how to communicate by using its body and its voice properly. Nonetheless, even though remote meetings became commons following the Covid-19 crisis, none of these books teaches how to communicate with its body and its voice in this new way of meeting. Nobody seems to have taken a direct interest in non verbal communication in remote meetings. In this paper, non verbal parameters of videoconferences’ participants have been observed and commented. Do the participants speak louder during a remote meeting? Do they manage to make gestures despite the camera framing ? Are eye contacts possible? These questions have been answered thanks to a survey and thanks to observations of videoconferences.
