- Abstract
- To create self-supporting structures in droxels, whether by drones or men, it is necessary to calculate the precise position of each block. This is perfectly feasible for small and simple structures. However, as architecture becomes more complex, placing the droxels in the right places to ensure the structural stability of the construction is much less obvious. Automating the process of transforming any structure into droxels can be done using calculation and modelling programs. The aim of this thesis is to design an interactive code using the Grasshopper program capable of “droxelising” any structure while ensuring their overall stability at each stage of the droxel installation. The Grasshopper plugin linked to Rhino does not require very high programming knowledge but allows visual and parametric programming.
