- Abstract
- The objective of this thesis is to develop an understanding of the impact of general education in the development of students’ creativity and entrepreneurial behaviour by exploring the mechanisms underlying this behaviour. More precisely, this work will attempt to assess the in-depth impact of following general education on creativity and the entrepreneurial behaviour. This will be achieved by reviewing the literature available on this matter in addition to conducting interviews of American and European experts in the field of education and/or entrepreneurship. The goal being to understand what is currently known about effects of education on creativity and the entrepreneurial behaviour and what are the teaching modalities influencing these effects. In order to do so, the approach adopted will cover education from primary level until the end of higher education within the European and American framework. Following that, an additional goal is to establish a list of the main measures that can potentially be implemented in this specific context to foster students’ creativity and entrepreneurial behaviour throughout their education journey.
