- Abstract
- Throughout the ages, we went from an observed time to a built time, and today, to a measured time. Even computerised. We are living in a society where everything moves always faster, where everything becomes each time more automatic, and where technology plays a crucial part. The medical field is especially suitable for the new technologies : we want to have direct access to the patient's medical history. Temporal expression recognition, their normalisation and the identification of medical events linked to these timexes have therefore been studied a lot these past few years. To this end, we present Time extractor, a rules-based system which recognises et normalises french temporal expression in patients health records. This system also approaches the contextualisation of the timexes with medical events.
