Abstract
This study analyses the relationships between the actors of User-Generated Content websites. The author focuses on the issue of databasing, i.e. automatic analysis of the content, and stresses the fact that this mechanism does not take into account the exceptions to copyright. In a final part, the author proposes several solutions that may strike a better balance in the peculiar context of User-Generated Content.
