Abstract
E-commerce has known an incredible rise in the last few years and has become a fatality for all traditional retailers. Compared to others, the grocery sector has not yet totally made the transition. There are lot of uncertainties regarding the most suitable company network structure that will permit to build an optimized model. However, most grocery retailers agree to say that the future will be about omni-channel. The goal of this concept is to propose a seamless experience to the clients among the different channels. Next to this, omni-channel has placed the supply chain at the center of grocery retailers’ business. The goal of this study will be to guide traditional grocery retailers towards the right omnichannel supply chain strategy. This will be done through the development of a framework, considering several variables that will impact the company’s decisions.
