- Abstract
- This research aims at studying the existence of the relationship between the fertility rate and saving behavior of households by first, analyzing the impact of aggregate fertility rate on aggregate saving portfolio at different stages of the development of financial markets by using panel macrodata across countries; second, analyzing the impact of the number of children on the saving portfolio in financial assets of households by using panel microdata of Japan, Korea and some European countries.
