Abstract
This master's thesis studies coalition dynamics in the French politics on hydraulic fracturing through media coding analysis. As it features a rather unconventional format, it does not present a unified format but is divided in three parts which aim at explaining all the research process that led us to a communication about stability and agility of advocacy coalitions, from the data collection to the theoretical and empirical perspectives flowing from the communication. This research aims to bring insight into coalition dynamics and structures understanding and to a larger extent into the Advocacy Coalition Framework research agenda.
