- Abstract
- Every century has its crisis, and the current one is undoubtedly an ecological one. Favouring ecology is therefore no longer a choice but a necessity. The work in this dissertation is part of a circular project proposed by Ney & Partners WOW, which involves giving a second life to off-cuts of wood panels, mainly from machining waste. The product created would be used in the "poutrains-claveaux" floor system, replacing traditional "claveaux". This system is made up of small, manageable elements that can be used to replace hourdis in renovation projects. This product would reduce the carbon footprint of this type of assembly, since the wedges would no longer come from new production but from simple recycling. To ensure the viability of the project, in addition to guaranteeing a better ecological footprint, the product offers at least equivalent strength and remains economically advantageous compared with the "claveaux" currently available on the market. Finally, this project opens up the possibility of redesigning the system by proposing larger "claveaux" dimensions, which would optimise the volume of wood used in this type of floor.
