- Abstract
- This master thesis aimed first at producing nano-sized beta zeolites (BEA) for the effective conversion of bioethanol into ethylene and 1,3-butadiene, in an innovative, green and efficient way compared to the conventional known methods. Studying the effect of their aggregation by spray drying was another point of interest. Therefore some of the prepared nano BEA were further aggregated into microspheres by spray drying in order to assess the impact of such a process on the activity and some properties of the obtained material. For the ethanol-to-butadiene reaction, the synthesized H-BEA were impregnated with Ta and Cu.
