- Abstract
- the economic and financial crisis is known to have been one of the greatest crises the modern world has ever experienced. It has impacted both large and small countries, with more or less impact depending on many criteria. Some have recovered from this crisis, others are still suffering the direct and indirect impacts of these crises. The Belgian economy has been impacted by this crisis. It is interesting to take stock of the Belgian economy before the crisis and to recall the objectives and concerns it had and to see the evolution of the economic situation and these objectives. It took almost a decade for Belgian GDP per capita to exceed the pre-crisis level and for the Belgian economy to return to approximately its previous level while still retaining some scars. in this work we are going to analyze and determine the causes, consequences of the financial and economic crisis and remind the different reactions of the public authorities to these issues.
