- Abstract
- For most people, Greenland is an inhospitable ice-covered space with no assets. The country part of the Kingdom of Denmark appears at first sight as unsubstantial in international relations. It is often associated with emptiness. The autonomous territory, nevertheless, has recently gained new perspectives. Greenland presents today significant strategic, economic, and scientific potential. Global warming is changing the identity of the island. New partnerships are born, with the United States, China, the European Union, and others. This paper provides a wide understanding, from a perspective of power, of the impact of Greenland on countries’ relationships.
