- Abstract
- In recent years we have witnessed a real technological revolution that is largely influencing our lives and workplaces. The global Coronavirus pandemic that organisations and their employees are facing today has led to an explosion in the use of collaborative platforms to facilitate remote working. In the context of such changes the role of internal communication becomes essential to business success. This thesis is based on the changing role of internal communication in such a challenging business environment, trying to understand what kind of impact the new collaborative communication tools have on internal communication: do they improve communication between employees or just cause information overload? Since the outbreak of the pandemic and teleworking, have the new collaborative tools improved or worsened communication between employees?
