- Abstract
- This thesis deals with the feasibility study of the creation of a factory grocery store in Rwanda in order to increase the purchasing power of the employees. After testing the service through the lean approach, it is concluded that the product is desirable but needs some changes to achieve the main goal. recommendations are given for a possible launch of the shop. Then, a marketing , HR and logistic plan are developed. The final step is the financial plan which shows us that the project costs and does not bring in any money. However, this financial plan does not take into account the intangibles that are non-negligible. Once the conclusion is reached, the thesis determines that it is worth is to implement this project as the intangibles are considered to exceed the financial costs of this project. This thesis is also the story of a 6-month immersion in the country of a thousand hills. It is the learning/ discovery of culture totally different to ours and full of richness. This experience requires to adapt and allows the questioning of the Western way of thinking.
