Abstract
As there is currently a lack of research on this topic and, as professionals showed a growing interest to it, this master thesis is dedicated to the understanding of the impact of Agile methodologies on innovation in software development companies in Belgium. To understand the problem, a theoretical approach of Agile and Innovation is proposed to the reader in the first part of the master thesis. It will be followed by a qualitative research based on fourteen interviews of professionals. This research follows a three- ways approach: Customer Collaboration, Sprints and Teams. The analysis of the results will bring the reader to understand that those three features may strengthen innovation under some conditions, otherwise innovation may be weak- ened. Based on those results, recommandations are given to managers. Some further analysis are also suggested to the reader to help him to understand the underlying causes of the problematic raised in this master thesis, which are the Hybrid Control and the Resistance to Change coming from middle management.
