Abstract
This thesis aims to develop recommendations on how the B Corp certification process can be strengthened from a human rights perspective, considering the case of human rights of workers in the supply chain in the clothing industry. The shortcomings of the certification process in relation to human rights in the supply chain are first identified. To find ways to address those shortcomings a comparative analysis with leading labels in the clothing industry is carried out. The analysis is primarily focused on how the latter integrate human rights in their assessments. The outcomes of the comparative analysis enable to develop recommendations aimed at strengthening the B Corp certification process from the perspective of human rights in the supply chain. The recommendations include binding requirements companies would have to comply to in order to be eligible for certification.
