Abstract
This dissertation is a comparative study about the importance of soft skills in job advertisements from the United Kingdom and the United States. The first part is a theoretical part, we mainly discussed terminology and concepts that would have an incidence on the data analysis. The second part consists of said data analysis. All skills from the job advertisements have been listed and we differentiated soft skills from hard skills. Based on this data, we analysed several aspects of the job advertisements, from a formal point of view as well as regarding content. This allowed us to determine whether location has an incidence on the soft skills required in the different job advertisements.
