Abstract: This thesis is about a commented subtitling of a documentary about John McEnroe, an American tennis player. After an introduction talking about the documentary film itself (history, characteristics, pioneers) you will be able to find the subtitles that I did and many comments about them. This documentary was very interesting, even if you are not really interested in tennis. The facts, the interviews and the archives were very well put together. You will learn more about this iconic but tumultuous player. McEnroe doesn’t run away from the questions Sue Baker is asking to him, and he answers with his heart. All the other people interviewed did the same. All those points made that documentary very qualitative. I was lucky to work and to finish my studies doing something I loved and about a subject so important to me.
