Abstract
This dissertation explores the role of associations in favor of civil societies, how they fit into the set of EU actors and how they manage to go beyond the shortcomings of the States when it comes to policy implementation. We will explore the decision-making processes and the balance of power between States and sub-national actors in the case of migrant women’s employability within the EU. A case study will be presented illustrating tools that could be implemented to better integrate migrant woman in the EU labour market.
