- Abstract
- This thesis aims at integrating raw materials in the finished goods planning of the Ethicon products. This franchise faces issues with the releases of RM in the beginning of its supply chain and some critical raw materials were incorporated in a new detailed scheduling tool. The critical RM were identified on the basis of an analysis showing that 15% of the RM were creating around 85% of the RM shortages in the FG sites. Once these specific RM were integrated, some metrics were designed, calculated and put on automated dashboards to measure the adherence to the new plan, but also to evaluate the benefits of the project for the backorders target of Ethicon.
