- Abstract
- Since natural resources and people's well-being have been integrated into populations' and governments' mindsets, social and environmental matters have become considerable elements to the survival of any firm. The supply chain has become one of the departments most directly concerned with sustainability issues because of the nature of its activities. The department is also involved with knowledge transfer since its role mainly consists of managing physical, financial and informational flows within and outside the organisation. This paper aims at evaluating whether or not there exists a connection between knowledge transfer and the sustainable performance of supply chains and if so find out how companies can channel these exchanges to reach higher performance. To do so, evidences have been collected through some interviews of professionals tightly linked to the supply chain and sustainability fields.
