Abstract
This thesis focuses on the TPI² digital patient record system, more precisely the attitudes of healthcare professionals toward digital technologies within the Saint-Luc University Clinic of Brussels. The study was a qualitative interview study to explore facilitating and hindering factors in the uptake of digital solutions, organizational aspects of integration, and related training needs. The results reveal a mixed response: while there is enthusiasm for benefits such as increased efficiency and improved patient care, concerns about data security, workflow disruptions, and inadequate training are prevalent. Digitalization has been a crucial issue in healthcare. The findings show that while the TPI² system enhances efficiency and patient care, challenges remain. Recommendations include investing in secure IT infrastructure, providing ongoing hands-on training, and implementing effective change management strategies to overcome these challenges and fully realize the benefits of digital transformation in healthcare.
