Abstract
Cloud technologies improved many different fields of IT by providing scalable and on-demand resources to the users. For many applications and software, the usage of the Cloud can bring many advantages. In this thesis, we presents the solutions available for deploying Virtual Desktop Infrastructure on the Cloud, detailing both the great principles of VDI and Cloud, and the different alternative in terms of software. We also present StackVDI, a new open-source alternatives to commercial connection brokers and detail his implementation and the improvements done in this thesis. Finally we performed some experiments on the OpenStack Cloud in order to bring out the factors that influence the boot time of a virtual machines.
