- Abstract
- Cloud Computing is the most recent evolution in the computer industry. Its use is more and more widespread to the point that it has become essential in order the launch a competitive and fast growing business. In this thesis, we studied how the Cloud can be used to deploy a large scale storage service applied the context of medical images. 2 different architectures were implemented and their performance were analysed as well as their cost. We concluded that for the use case of storing large images, a serverless microservice architecture with a client that makes use of tiling yields the best performance and the lowest cost.
