Abstract
Henkel AG & Co. KGaA is a company active in the FMCG industry. They have 3 business units: Adhesive Technologies, Beauty Care and Laundry and Home Care. This thesis relates to the copacking process in BNL. It happens that some unexpected errors arise from time to time and those can affect the quality of the copack or result in a delay in delivery. These issues might lower customer satisfaction or fixing them might come with additional costs. The purpose of this thesis is therefore to analyze why these mistakes occur and how to reduce their frequency. Firstly, a general overview of the literature will be provided and used in order to suggest area of improvement to fix occurring issues. Secondly, a deeper reflexion on the complexity of the process allows to suggest possible solutions to reduce it and thereby reduce the likelihood of an unwished event.
