- Abstract
- The loss of a brother or a sister during childhood or early adolescence has a big impact on the lives of the surviving siblings. However there has only been little research done on the matter. Indeed, the surviving siblings are often considered as forgotten mourners. This work aims to improve the knowledge of how the loss of a sibling affects the life of older adolescents. This paper particularly concentrates on the sibling’s attachment styles and the impact thereon of the loss. This goal is achieved through the use of semi-structured interviews and attachment questionnaires.
