Abstract: enThis thesis is a partial translation from Turkish into French of Zülfü Livaneli's novel Son Ada. It consists of six main parts, the first one is the preface, written in Turkish, it explains why this novel was chosen, gives a brief biography of the author and a general overview of the work. The introduction, also in Turkish, deals with the environmental problems of the recent years, global warming and the measures taken to make the situation better. The translation part is the French version of the first seven chapters of Son Ada. The commentary explains the difficulties encountered during the translation process and the translation choices, justified by theoretical grounds. The glossary that follows covers the important terms of the novel and the conclusion presents the enrichments that this work has brought. Finally, a general bibliography with all the sources ends the work.
