Abstract
enThis final paper consists in the translation and subtitling of the abridged-series: Dragon Ball Z Abridged, created by Team Four Star. The thesis starts with an introduction in which I develop and explain the history of this particular genre and in which I also compare two abridged-series makers: Eric Fensler and Martin Billany. I also compare these two with the directors of Dragon Ball Z Abridged. The second part is the translation of the twelve episodes which form the first season of Dragon Ball Z Abridged. Therefore, I included twelve tables, each one formed with five columns: the number of the subtitle, the timecode IN, the timecode OUT, the source text and the French translation. It is followed by the third and last part of the final paper, the commentaries, which consists in some explanations about the difficulties I encountered during the translation. At the end of the document, after the bibliography, I included the annex which are composed of the original script.
