- Abstract
- In a world undergoing a drastic energy transition, many ingenious ideas are being developed to tackle this crisis. The energy community concept is one of them. By sharing the production of green and local energy among a group of homes or businesses located close to each other, the various players benefit both economically and socially in a sustainable way. The aim of this project is to explore the possible advantages of real-time energy monitoring. One such advantage is providing members of these communities with the best indication of when it would be worthwhile to use green energy production. The solution proposed is based on an existing forecast algorithm developed by the UCLouvain. To achieve this, the means of transmitting data are being explored using smart meters. Two algorithms are presented. The first aims to detect habit changes and indicate whether the forecast algorithm needs to be retrained. The second focuses on making very short-term electricity consumption recommendations to exploit the community's production as much as possible.
