Abstract
Throughout this thesis, relations between the EU/EU Member States and Libya have been highlighted. The goal was to analyze the various relations that Libya had built up since the beginning of the 20th century and evaluate whether the EU policies toward Libya are consistent with foreign policies of its Member States. While the position of the EU toward Libya is clear, those of its Member States may not.
