Abstract
This thesis addresses the communication challenges faced by elderly individuals in home care scenarios and presents a solution called Circles. The aim is to improve care coordination and enhance social connections for ageing individuals who live by themselves by emphasizing its importance, examining the limitations of existing technologies and building a solution upon the desire for a more personalized communication platform. This thesis presents a comprehensive review of the current state of elderly care technology, the challenges seniors face as they age and a proof of concept for a mobile application called Circles alongside features and design aspects.
