Abstract
The goals of this project described in this paper were from two kinds: to identify and execute actions to limit the actual inflow of products in the QA cage and to identify a process to clean the QA cage physically and financially. To be able to achieve the first goal, a root cause analysis has been conducted and several quality control tools have been used which allowed to find the main reasons of these QA cage entries and to choose on which ones to focus. Throughout the analysis, it has been decided to focus on damaged products noticed at the receiving area in the EDC. Following the Root Cause Analysis, recommendations have been made in order to decrease the inflow of products entering the QA cage, and more precisely to decrease the number of damaged products at receiving as well as to implement a process flowchart which would allow to do some waste management with products entering the QA cage.
