Abstract
It is widely acknowledged in the present day that the phenomenon of sea-level rise extends beyond mere theoretical speculation. The study initially addresses the implications of this issue on baselines. While the mobile baselines theory is largely acknowledged, it remains beset by certain limitations and has faced opposition from the fixed baselines theory. The International Law Commission (ILC) is seeking a resolution by reconciling these opposing approaches. In the subsequent phase, the study shifts its focus to examine the impact of sea-level rise on maritime delimitation, proposing solutions derived from international law principles, particularly those of the international law of the sea.
