- This thesis aims to measure the presence of promotional techniques on the websites of Walloon secondary schools offering CLIL education. CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) is a reputed approach promoted by the European Union for several decades and known for having many benefits whether cognitive, socio-affective, or linguistic. With an education sector that is behaving more and more like a market, it is relevant to explore the business-like promotional techniques that are used in this field. This study reveals how Belgian secondary schools promote themselves through their CLIL program and the use of promotional language and techniques on their institutional website.
