- In Low-and-Middle Countries (LMICs), mental health has long been neglected. There are specific reasons behind this and various insights on the matter. All of them highlighting the alarming call for the governments to put it on their top-priorities to set up appropriate and effective policies regarding mental health. Thus, securing the mental health staff work and status, and ensuring adequate and affordable care and treatment for the individuals with mental disorders, and finally, gives mental health the recognition it so urgently needs.
