Abstract

This thesis details the creation of an intuitive application for the design and execution of psychological paradigms in clinical and research settings. The program addresses the deficiencies of current technologies, such as complexity, cost, and limited adaptability, by offering a tool that is user-friendly and efficient. The application supports paradigms such as Stroop and Cyberball tests, with features such as speech recording, precise key-press synchronization and dynamic stimulus presentation. It produces output files specially designed to be compatible with BrainVoyager, facilitating data processing. Modular architecture enables adaptation to a variety of research and processing requirements. Developed in partnership with the Institute of Neuroscience at UCLouvain, the tool addresses practical needs, rendering it an invaluable resource for physicians and researchers. It facilitates the development of complex paradigms without sacrificing usability and promotes new avenues for investigating cognitive and emotional processes. This project bridges the gap between clinical needs and scientific innovation.
