- Abstract
- This master's thesis focuses on the investigation of the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process, specifically studying the uniform deformation of the layers through image processing and hardness analyses. Additionally, a finite element model was developed to gain further insights into the shear behavior during the rolling process. The ARB process involves the repeated bonding and rolling of metal sheets to create multilayered structures with enhanced properties. Understanding the deformation behavior and achieving uniformity across the layers is crucial for optimizing the mechanical properties of the resulting materials. In this study, a comprehensive analysis was conducted using image processing techniques to quantify and visualize the deformation patterns within the layers during the ARB process. Furthermore, hardness analyses were performed to assess the mechanical properties across the layers.
